- What to Expect

Devices, specialist training, and a tour

This specialized program pairs Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses with one-on-one training from our assistive technology team, plus a chance to explore East Texas Lighthouse programs and resources.

Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses

Receive a pair of AI glasses that can help make everyday life easier as a hands-free companion to assist with daily visual tasks, and interact with your environment.

One-on-One Specialist Training

Work hands-on with dedicated technology specialists who will walk you through setup, application syncing, and device features at your own comfortable pace.

Facility Tours

Take a guided tour of the East Texas Lighthouse facility and learn about our comprehensive client services, training labs, and local resources.

No Cost to Eligible Veterans

Devices and specialist training are provided at no cost to qualifying blinded and low-vision veterans.

- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Who qualifies to attend

This event is open to blinded and low-vision veterans who meet the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Blind Rehabilitation Services (BRS) definition.

Legally Blind

Veterans with central visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with corrective lenses, or a visual field limited to 20 degrees or less.
  • Served in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Meets VA BRS legal blindness criteria
  • Documentation may be requested at check-in

severe low-vision impairment

Veterans with best-corrected visual acuity of 20/70 to 20/200, or significant peripheral field loss that impacts daily functional capabilities and independent living.
